swing-teacher

SARAH – Sarah Lawrie caught the Lindy Hop bug while studying at university in 2004. As soon as she started dancing, she got involved in her local dance scene – she became president of Mac Swing, McMaster University’s Swing Dancing club, and eventually began teaching local classes and workshops, competing, and travelling so that she could dance with as many people as possible. She moved to Montreal in 2009 to further pursue her academic studies and was welcomed into the Cat’s Corner family. When she first started dancing, Sarah learnt to both lead and follow since she wanted to always be on the dance floor. When she teaches, she focuses on sharing her love for this happy dance, the music, and its history with her students.
