Wednesday classes in the park
Every Wednesday we will be on the canal near the Atwater Market for outdoor classes. We’ll start at 6:30pm with solo jazz for all (45min) and then partner swing (45min). The price is $20 for 90 minutes. If you can (or want to) only do one part you are welcome to join us. We also invite you to bring some food and have a picnic with us after the activity. You can register individually or use the multi-pass: https://www.amilia.com/store/en/cats-corner/shop/programs/calendar/68803

In case of rain the event will be cancelled for that week. Be sure to register in advance to get the latest updates about changes due to weather.

The location this year will be on the south side of the canal near the intersection of Charlevoix and Saint Patrick (google map link here)

Frequently asked questions:

  • There isn’t a bar or restaurant but you are welcome to bring a picnic to have in the kitchen or on the mezzanine
  • Wear what you like, there is no dress code. People often make an extra effort on live music nights. It’s a personal choice.
  • You can come alone or with a parter or friend. You can accept or refuse any dance. It’s a social activity and we encourage you to meet lots of people in the room but there is no obligation.

As we hear more talk of reopening this summer, you may be wondering if and when you’ll be able to come back for a dance at Cat’s Corner. Well dear friends, we won’t be going back, only forward. And yes, there will be dancing in our future!

After 12 years up on the 3rd floor of 3451 Boul Saint Laurent, we have handed back the keys and closed an important chapter in the story of swing dancing in Montreal.

It is also the start of a new one!
