Cat's Corner - Our Mission

A person’s first two places are Home and Work.

At Cat’s Corner, we create and sustain the Third Place in which people meet, interact, share and laugh together.

This is our vision in three steps.

Education

At Cat’s Corner, we strive for teaching excellence. Not only do we believe in imparting our knowledge and skills to our students, we work with them in order to make them better and more comfortable dancers on the dance floor. We also value our role and our responsibility in passing along the history and origins of swing dance, and particularly of lindy hop, to the next generation.

Sustainable Business

We base ourselves on sound financial foundations and growth to increase the value of all our stakeholders, from our staff and our team of volunteers to our students and the dancers of the Montreal community. We also commit to providing career opportunities to them in addition to rewardarding experiences. Our sustainable business translates into improved services, course offerings and dance events for our community.

Social Commitment

Furthermore, we recognize our social responsibilities. With our fairly priced teaching, social programs and volunteer work, we dedicate ourselves to improving the lives of children, teenagers and adults alike by sharing with them the joy of dance. Finally, we believe that we offer a healthy environment in which to socialize and have fun.
